Rear shocks

What's the difference between the rear shocks on a coil spring suspension and a leaf spring one.I've noticed that 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton are advertised together for the coil spring set up but the only ones that I've seen for the leaf springs are for four wheel drive.I have a '72 3/4 ton with leaf spring rear and two wheel drive. The truck has a set of old air shocks on it now and the rear sits lower than the front,I would like to get rid of the air shocks(personal preference)and level the stance. What type of shocks are you guys with leaf springs running, what brand or model?HF

I have ProComp Explorers on my 3/4 ton leaf spring truck. I think I went with the 3000 series?

Hecticblasts I heard there's only two shock companys Gabriel and monroe, all shocks are made by these two companys, so watch you don't pay to much for some of those cool brand name shocks.
