Vent window rebuild?
I have seen a thread here before...
Searched "vent window" this morning and could not find it. I remember a fairly good link that showed how to re gasket vent windows and showed a tool, modified to install the rivits. I will be doing mine in the next month, so I am getting ready. Thank you for any links that you can throw my way, or knowledge you learned while doing yours. Eric

Re: Vent window rebuild?
Use pop rivets, much easier than the factory style rivets. There was a board vendor here that sells a SWEET tool (not the center punch style that comes with the kit) that would make it much more practical to install factory style rivets. When you do the pivot rivet, it is a lot easier to remove the bracket that holds it to the frame as opposed to the pivot rivet itself. Then just use 2 pop rivets to reattach. I have done both sets of vent windows on my truck this way.
