where to buy black belts w/ airplane buckle?

I have some factory seat belts in my truck but will eventually be buying and doing black interior.
To get this thing on the road I was thinking about just replacing the belts now.

What is a few good places that have black belts with the airplane type buckle? also who has the best prices? Im guessing they are all a 3" belt?

Call me crazy, but I bought new 3 point belts from, ok probably a dirty word, JC Whitney. The least expensive I could find and they are just great.

no because i dont want crappy chrome, a crappy mechanism, thin webbing, cheap webbing, etc.

There is a reason that every racing association requires the replacement of belts every two years which is WAY BETTER belts then even these truck have.

If I am going to spend my money on something however, I want it to look great.

Re: where to buy black belts w/ airplane buckle?

There's a board vendor that is going to order some for me. I'm going to do retractable driver and passenger and an adjustable one for the middle. His shop is Mikes' Bump and Grind Garage. They have a website, but I don't know what it is. Let me know how soon you want them, maybe we can try to get a group buy together.

funny you ask I only ordered middle belt because I want to put in a booster seat for the little guy....so I went with the 74" .....it's 12" from the corner of the seat to the bolt hole in the floor...so 12+12=24 74-24= 50" i figure that 25" (1/2 of the belt showing from the seat corner) will be long enough for the buckles to hang over the edge of the seat when not in use yet long enough to get around him ontop of the booster

I'll let you know friday how it workes out they ship them prioty mail from CA so they should be here thursday?? also I'll let you know what quality they are....

Cool... Thanks. I'm worried about the same issue. My wife and I are expecting our first anyday. I'm going to have to have to be able to mount the car seat.

Re: where to buy black belts w/ airplane buckle?

I have these from Classic Parts:http://www.classicparts.com/47-59-an...ctinfo/28-071/
Had to open the mounting part a little with a dremel in order to use the factory bolts. The aircraft latch side is just long enough with the seat all the way back, if you need to move the seat forward it would need an extension. Also have to pull slowly when putting them on. Other then these small niggles, I like them.

Re: where to buy black belts w/ airplane buckle?

I wouldn't be so quick to knock JC Whitney. A lot of their stuff is drop shipped from top manufactures. I have a pair of tight tuck chrome big block hedders that came straight from Immerso Enterprises. The company owned by a two time America's most beautiful roadster winner. And the hedders look good enough to be on any show truck.
I know they get knocked because some of their stuff used to and probably still is pretty bad but I have had great luck with them on what I bought from them.

I'll agree that seatbelts are one place that you want to have the best item you can get though and not the cheapest.

No way sure about the quality of the belt, but Autoloc offers a custom program where you can etch an image/etc. on the chrome buckle.

Don't laff; head out around 1 of your local airports; there should be a shop somewhat close by that rewebs &/or sells seat belts with the style buckle you want.

Re: where to buy black belts w/ airplane buckle?

I purchased new 3 point seatbelts for my 69 Firebird from Morris. Fit and work great. Now I know Morris also makes them for trucks. They have the buckle style you want. These belts are quality. I bought mine through Summit Racing.
Here is link to Morris site....
