1967-68 molding Mar-k versus nos

looking to put the factory 1967 / 1968 molding on my 1968 truck

looking for opinions from people that have seen the mar- k and the oem moldings. How do they compare? which is better? from the pictures the mark-k looks nice, but how is it compared to stock?

thanks

Definately easier and cheaper to find.I`ve heard nothing but good about all their stuff. They aren`t one to cheap out.

Re: 1967-68 molding Mar-k versus nos

Ask Rokcrwln, he installed all new Mar-K trim on his "Low Buck" build. From what I remember, he was very happy with the quality and fit. FWIW, I've been to the Mar-K shop and talked to both Mark (owner) and Terry (engineer). They are both great truck guys and truly believe in putting out top quality parts. I'm not trying to pitch for them, but after meeting them, you can tell they are genuine in their love of these old trucks.

Re: 1967-68 molding Mar-k versus nos

I used a complete kit from EarlyClassics.

I first started out collecting NOS pieces and one day someone gave me a repop trim piece.

When I looked the the NOS parts (still in packaging) and compared them to the new repop part, the repops parts are much brighter whereas the NOS parts were dull and scratched due to age. Also, different NOS parts were in various shades of dull and did not match up to each other.

Also note that repops may leave you minus an arm and a leg.But you can still drive an auto equiped truck that way.NOS will probably cost you two of each.
