truck rearend and spings fit a blazer?
my buddy has an 86 blazer (i kno this is the worng forum but i cant get any posts in the other blazer forum) and the rear springs are jacked up! will the rear end and springs out of a 1/2 ton truck fit? and if so what year trucks?

The rear springs are the same length, so the Should bolt right in. If I remember right, the mounting perches for the '73 and up rear ends are farther apart. So to use the newer rear end, you would need to put new repositioned perches on for the rear end to fit. Also, I think the newer rear ends are a little wider, but you might want to measure everything to confirm this.

He is talking about an '86. Any '73 - '87 half ton springs and axle will work. If you use a 12 bolt ('73 - '80) instead of a 10 bolt like the '86 came with, you will need a conversion u-joint for the rear axle.
