Year model differences in 4L80E Trans?

Does any know if there would be major differences between 4L80E out of 05' 2500 truck and 08' 2500 truck?

I am moving pretty quick on gathering everything for the LSx swap in my 68'. I purchased an 08' LY9 6.0 with only 2700 miles on it. However, during my search I also stumbled across a guy that has a complete setup out of an 05' 2500 Truck (LQ4) with less than 1000 miles, and he also has the 4L80E trans with it....he is willing to separate for a decent deal, so I am thinking about picking up the trans from him if it will work.

I'm thiking that software differences might be all that there is. However, I have noticed online that some of the rebuilders list them as 02'-07', but others list as 05' and up.

I know that the diesel model has some straight cut gears in it, and a looser converter (same as the 8.1 I believe).
