York Compressor

Hey Guys I'm looking to add a york 210 compressor to my truck. I have a 1972 350 in my c-10 but I can't seem to find a bracket that will allow me to use this compressor. I have used the search engines and have come up blank. Can someone throw me a line to where I can find this bracket or am I going to have to fab up one myself. Thanks.

Re: York Compressor

how much do they make them for? if ur pretty good at fabbing one up it will probably come out cheaper. i have a york too but i havent put it in yet, and not skilled enough to make a bracket lol.

Re: York Compressor

My york is on and I love it. I just ordered a pressure switch cause I'd hate to blow something up by leaving it on...i built my own bracket...prob would buy tho if I had to do it again.

Re: York Compressor

search "on board air" ad you'll find a few companies selling parts and kits.

I built a bracket to work on my Serpentine drive set-up. My York sit's low on the passenger side pretty much where the OEM smog pump was on this set-up. This serpentine set-up is robbed from an 84 Camaro, useing it on my old school 3 deuce 350. Need a longer belt and I'm done with the compressor stuff. Still have to set the motor in the truck, but I know it's going to perform fantastic.

Re: York Compressor

I have a York also and made my own bracket. Yes, the fill times are great. If you make your own bracket, make sure it is stout. Those compressors are heavy and need good support, especially horizontally (in the direction it will be pulled when the belt is tightened). I'll try to post some pictures of mine.

Re: York Compressor

My bracket looks the same as the one in the first pic above. Keep it simple and strong if you build one. I'll take pics later but right now i've got to get my ass in the garage and finish cupping my lower a arms and update the project nympho build thread!

Re: York Compressor

Thank you smachingchuck! Yea i took the york to my friend(a welder) and asked if he could build me a bracket and after looking at it for awhile we had no idea were to start! Then i did a search on here and found your pic and thought it was simple and easy so i printed it out and took it to him and basically copied it

Re: York Compressor

Here's mine with homemade pulley. This location will hit the frame for most people, but works perect on mine and I get to keep my A/C also.

Re: York Compressor

Here is one I did awhile ago for a board member on a 2wd Blazer.
Now I just need to figure out how to get one on my 72 4dr Tahoe with the 05 5.3L.
