Small change... but I like it...
Got these at Charlotte a little while ago. I think I got them for $70? Anyway, I was getting tired of the derby look and they're the cheap plastic ones, so after 3 years of being out in the sun they're kinda starting to look like poo anyway, so I just went for a little change...
The only issue I have with the new caps... is that for some reason the new combo just screams... lower me? 1st pic is a "before pic" and the next two are of the new caps. I've also always wanted to take one of them "above" pics and finally did. This is one of the reason I love the rally's so much. You can get so many different looks with just a simple change. There's a couple more different caps I've seen for them too.

Re: Small change... but I like it...
I was with board member gcburdic (geoff) all day at the Charlotte Auto Fair, and he can attest to the fact that I talked about buying a set of the Disc Brake Chevrolet caps like you have most of the day. I was on the fence between the two and went with the smoother caps. I may also buy a set like you have and switch 'em out every now and again. I really like those too!
I noticed you have to watch out when you buy those. Some say "disc" brakes and some say "disk" brakes Guess which ones were cheaper at Charlotte?

Re: Small change... but I like it...
I don't think that the original style rallye caps like your first picture look good on our trucks, but the new caps you got look great. Your right about how a small change can make a big difference in the looks of the truck.

Re: Small change... but I like it...
Ahhhh, cool! I saw those there too!
I was also a little scared to buy them because I wasn't sure if they would clear the front spindle cover, it's good to see that they do! Just curious, but what do you "call those." I guess I bought "small smoothie caps?" and I used to have the "derby cap." So what are those called?

Send me a 2.5/4 drop kit from ECE and I'll do it
Just tell the wife you donated money to a good cause, she'll understand
