1961 apache BBW custom 2 owner possible parts
So I've found a 1961 Apache BBW SWB custom with.... the rare side rap around trim.... a factory 283... chrome grill....and like I said 2 owners and the guy that currently has it hasn't done anything to it...
now to the down side... its yellow... and has the usual rust but its for sale...

Re: 1961 apache BBW custom 2 owner
What do they want for it? Look like with paint and a recovered seat it would be quite a head-turner. And that side trim- I saw Classic Trucks magazine had a slammed feature with said trim. I looked at it and thought it was off a early '60's Buick. You're telling me that's stock?

Re: 1961 apache BBW custom 2 owner
the trim if it is all straight is probably worth a couple grand by itself....
what is the reddish color along the top of the firewall, and inside the box?

Re: 1961 apache BBW custom 2 owner
I'd snatch that up in a heartbeat. That truck is really in decent shape, plus it has the CC side trim.

Re: 1961 apache BBW custom 2 owner
so if my wife "lets" me I'm more than likely going to buy this truck....
My main goal to this truck is either to do a complete stock resto. or to use things on it for my 61' and sell of the rest My question is does anyone want things off this truck? and if so what? It has: the deluxe trim on the side the deluxe steering wheel factory radio factor 283 unmolested V8 hood emblem custom trim drivers side spot light crome grill/bumpers deluxe knobs on dash 6 lug ralleys and stock rims and hub caps and anything else you can see in the pics.

Re: 1961 apache BBW custom 2 owner
I would keep that truck all together and fix what is broken, replace what is missing & give it a good bath...drive it and enjoy it. Your truck is a living, most unmolested, original survivor and should be given another chance at 40+ more years of life. By parting it, you will be diminishing the overall value of it, but certainly, it is your truck and you can do what you like. As a preservationist and a person with a passion for the '60-'66 Chevy/GMC trucks, I vote for keeping it intact and complete.
