buddy buckets fold forward or not???
hi
I have been looking at buddy bucket seats for my 1968 truck. some of the seats i am looking at fold flat forward and others do not. so my question is did different years fold or not? i am aware of the dodge ones that are similar but have square edges.. what i'm talking about is rounded edge gm ones, some that i look at fold and some dont. are they supposed to or not? thanks |

Re: buddy buckets fold forward or not???
ok, so my next question, were the buddy bucket seats available in some other gm truck as an option. For example perhaps the folding ones were originally in subarbans and folded flat for 2nd row access? just trying to figure out where the folding ones were originally installed if not in the trucks

Re: buddy buckets fold forward or not???
I just bought a set that flips. The guy I bought them from very briefly said he learned how to make it flip on this site. He then showed me a bolt on the back bottom of the seat that supposedly did the trick. I will try to get a pic.

Re: buddy buckets fold forward or not???
BB's for trucks didn't fold forward. But did on some vans to gain access to the rear maybe also the motor homes with the access to the rear. The drivers seat is adjustable fwd n rear and the passenger seat was stationary. Hope this helps.

Re: buddy buckets fold forward or not???
Some truck seats fold and and some don't. Some truck have both seat that folds and in some trucks, only one folds. There is no rhyme or reason that I know of that determines what trucks got 2 folding ones, only 1 folding one or neither ....

You really can't make them that way, they are either built to hinge or they're not. Here's a few pictures to show what I mean.
