just my luck...
a few monthes ago i was driving my 68 and the right lower ball joint broke, this was just a few weeks after i rebuilt and converted the front to disc. it was a faulty ball joint and i was able to get a new one free,
after this happened the right front sat up about 2 inches more than the left. I aligned it about 3 times at work but fianly gave up. Today i removed the front clip to start shaving the fire wall and i noticed that the lower control arms looked differtent from the top. i turns out that when the ball joint broke and the arm hit the ground i bent LCA but i could not see the bend from under the truck. im glad i found this before i started installing my air ride. so now i need to search for a good used right lower control arm. are the re pro control arms any good?

Re: just my luck...
If it was a new ball joint, I would see if the place you bought it carries lower control arms. It may be a special order but I think they owe you another freebie.
I have an extra set minus the driver's uppers but I need to hang on to them until I'm finished with my build. Do a search in the parts forum and you'll likely find someone close to you parting a truck. |
