Need Some Rebuild Tips.
Hey guys, I need some tips on rebuilding a Quadrajet. I took my truck up to the career center I go to and my instructor and I decided that my carb needs a rebuild. He said that we can do it for very little to no $ at all. So what I'm asking is, are there any "Bang-For-The-Buck" upgrades for performance and efficiency I can do to it? I am also looking for some tips for dealing with it as this is gonna be my first time attempting anything like this.

Mine needs some help right now too. So I'm either going to tackle it this winter or find somebody to send it to. Does anybody know of a respectable re builder?

CJ, I just had a question pop into my head. What is the most common jetting for a Q-jet?

To tell ya the truth I wouldnt say there is a "common" jetting and rod combo..Too many applications that they were used on..A very versatile carb..In most cases people stay between .025" and .030" difference in size between the primary jet and rod..But that is not a steadfast rule tho.
