Question 12 bolt question

I have a 12bolt from a 77 4x4 within reach. Will this swap to my 86 2wd c10 without any issues?

Re: 12 bolt question

Yes, it will swap in. However you have a bolt pattern problem. The 4X4 is a six lug!! You can swap out the axels and make it a 5 lug. I'm trying to remember if the 10 and 12 bolt axels are interchangeable.

Different spline count on the axel shafts I believe...
