Re: drop shackel question

Shackle/Hanger kits are normally good for only a 4" drop.
A flip kit will get you 5" or 6" drop.

Follow all the manufacturers instructions.
You need to tighten the front and rear leaf spring bolts with all the weight of the truck on the rear axle.

Re: drop shackel question

Are you not going to install the front hangers?
You can do it on the ground or with the jackstands under the rear axle.
You just need all the weight on the rear springs and the frame not supported.

Re: drop shackel question

yes i am going to do the hangers but im still waiting on my drop coils so i thought i could just do the shackels to level the truck until i get the rest of the kit. So i just went out with the truck on the ground i loosend the bolts bounced on the bumper and retightend the bolts and im still 2" higher in the back the new shackels are 3" longer than the stock and i still cant get the drop could it have anything to do with the shocks
