Good Morning SANCHO...Although you can't post a WTB (Want to buy) post...you can go to the 67-72 Parts forums and search for one. Not to long ago I thought I saw one for sale .... Good Luck.

Thanks I have done that with not so much luck. Also Didnt realize I made this a WTB thread/post. I started it as a thread to see if someone sells the part and to find out quality of those who do.

We don`t think you made a WTB thread.i think he meant a WTB ad would be a way to find one...if you were a subscriber.

You got the lowdown of the repro part.They are not available just yet.Some prototypes were made,fitted,and turned out well.They will be coming onto the market sometime soon from Tri-Plus.

About the time I was going to check Classic Heartbeat and see if Wes listed one he posted that they aren't available. Used is probably were it is at at the moment.

I would like to see a manufacturer just make the headlight mounts or cups with a few measurements on where to weld them to a Chevy support since they are much easier to come by, probably local so there is not as huge of shipping charges.
I can get the measurements off of my trucks but many people don't have access to one to measure.

cool. no prob.... that makes sense. Thanks for the added info. hopefully they will have them available soon, getting close to be able to assemble the body. Thanks guys, all input is appreciated.

Ok guys lets chill a little. As I posted earlier I do not consider this a WTB thread but a question on where one might locate a radiator support which is ok. I also mentioned that one of the advantages of being a "Site Supporter" is that one could post a WTB (Want To Buy).
As mentioned...keep an eye in the FS (For Sale) area and one will likely show up. Best wishes.

No problem my friend.I knew it must have been a misunderstanding because it just didn`t fit...neither with what I meant,how I know you to be,and out of sync with the posts.It`s because i erased what he said and printed my message in his post.There would have been no confusion if you could have read his post.Problem is,I had to erase it to avoid a otential violation.in the end it`s just a word of caution and no one gets in trouble.

Man.... you guys had me confused with what was going on. 70gmcjimmy no apology needed. This whole thing was educating for me. Thanks staff for clearing things up. I do agree it would be nice if they just sold the buckets with the measurements so you could make your own out of a chevy support.

try jim carter truck parts....they carry a few thing that lmc doesn't carry and some of the prices are better. i know they carry a patch panel for if you have battery acid damage to your core support.

if you have a damaged GMC one you could swap your buckets to a chevy support. I can measure the one I have in my garage. NO, IT IS NOT FOR SALE. I need it myself. but I can take pics and get specs if you want.

67/68 GMC supports have threaded bolt holes along the loer outer edge to attach the lower filler panel to, just as 67/68 Chevy supports have. Other than that I don't know of any differences. You could use a 69-up support and delete that filler panel, or you could find another way to attach it

The problem has been that neither the 67/68 or 69/72 supports had been reproduced.Coming soon,but used is it right now.

Thanks guys, I have had the 68 and 71, 72 Chevy surrounds, and I've had 69-72 GMC surrounds but never realized the 67-68 gmc had the splash pan like the 67-68 chevy.

Why not buy a 67/68 chevy, which is available, and mount the headlite buckets from a GMC on it. Both buckets are the same, just flipped over right to left

This is a good question. As I have a 72 support that I could take the buckets off of so I can do my conversion. Anyone?
