Expensive 292?

That price seems a little high, or am i missing something? I mean i know its complete rad to trans, but who really wants an sm465 anyway? i had trouble giving one away.

I sold a complete running 292 fan to tailshaft housing (3 speed) with all the mounts for $300.

About half or more of the rockers weren't getting oil, but it sounded good, and didn't seem to be burning oil. It certainly needed gone over though.

He does want way too much, but SM 465's are well liked in the off road community for the granny low.

$450 for transmission, $300 for the engine, and the rest for parts and labor.

Personally, I will never buy a "rebuilt" engine from anyone other than a reputable and well known machine shop. Especially for that much!

I'd rather buy an old engine and rebuild it myself than take anyone's word for it.

4wd SM465's are liked by the offroad community. I had one of those it wasn't hard to get rid of. However I still have the 2wd 465 i was attempting to give away in the shed.
