Re: Expensive 292?
No your not missing anything. He wants entirely too much.
When he keeps it a long time he will figure it out.

Re: Expensive 292?
I wish the guy luck on waking up out of the dream he's in. He's only about 2000 to high.

Re: Expensive 292?
I sold a complete running 292 fan to tailshaft housing (3 speed) with all the mounts for $300.
About half or more of the rockers weren't getting oil, but it sounded good, and didn't seem to be burning oil. It certainly needed gone over though. |

Re: Expensive 292?
He does want way too much, but SM 465's are well liked in the off road community for the granny low.

Re: Expensive 292?
$450 for transmission, $300 for the engine, and the rest for parts and labor.
Personally, I will never buy a "rebuilt" engine from anyone other than a reputable and well known machine shop. Especially for that much! I'd rather buy an old engine and rebuild it myself than take anyone's word for it. |

Re: Expensive 292?
4wd SM465's are liked by the offroad community. I had one of those it wasn't hard to get rid of. However I still have the 2wd 465 i was attempting to give away in the shed.
