How do those steering wheel repair kits work like the ones that you can buy from Eastwwod for $25?

My wheel is cracked in a few places... anyone used one of those kits to fix theirs? How did it turn out?

I don't know about Eastwood kit but I tell you what I did.
I used JB Weld to fill the cracks. Sanded smooth, primered, painted, and clear coat.
Looked great for about 6 months.
The hair line cracks re-appeared. Where I hold the steering wheel, the paint and primer has worn away down to the original black plastic.
I drive my truck every day.
I wished there was a more permanent solution (other than buying a new steering wheel - I like the big three spoke wheel and chrome horn button)

This is probably a stupid question, but could I just bondo the cracks up?... or would that fall out later or something?

Maybe fiberglass resin and then sand it down??

I believe Por15 has a product designed for this application .I have never tried it but always wondered about it

I found the PC-7 two part epoxy that Eastwood sells in their kit at Ace Hardware. It worked OK so far, but I'm still 'work in progress' on that project and have an ugly seafoam green loaner wheel on my daily driver stepside.
