comment on truck from girlfriends dad:

her dad finally saw my truck yesterday and i will directly quote him on this:

"why is your truck so low? It's supposed to be a working mans truck, not a show truck"

i dont think he really cared though

Yeah, that's a typical response from some of the older generation. The way I look at it, if you like your truck then that's all that matters. And I think it looks good!

I'm sorry, all of my responses about low trucks and high school girlfriends are not appropriate for this board.

"yeah when I first got her, she didn't go down like that, but look at her now"

Hey now, I resemble that remark. I'm the older generation, but I still love a lowered full size truck. Of course you did say, some.

If you want to hear some stupid ass remarks about lowered fullsize trucks, go over to thirdgen.org and let them know what you have.

Some folks just don't get it. What I tell them is, listen, I didn't build this truck to please you. If I had, before I turned a bolt, I would have made sure to call you first to see if it was OK.

My favorite is from a guy I work with, who is around 3 years my junior (I'm 48). Of course I know he's so damned jealous he can't see straight, but he asked me the first time he seen my truck around 3 years ago, "What does someone as old as you want with a truck like that?" I told him I was going through a mid life crisis.

Yeee Hawww. Ain't it fun? I'm just an old baldheaded man who loves fast low trucks. Something must be bad wrong with me. They can all kiss it if they don't like it.

"What does someone as old as you want with a truck like that?"

You should have said "Why does someone as young as you want a foot in your @$$?"

I would have said so when me and your daughter take you places a couple years from now you won't have to strain to get in and out of the truck to take a trip out of the old folks home.

No offense to the oder generation but he had it coming

I was thinking of you when I put the "some" in there. You, of course are the exception.
