Does it connect to the clutch fork and pull forward towards the front of the truck, or does it connect to the bell crank and pull towards the back of the truck? And where on the truck (frame) does it connect?

The spring hooks onto the clutch fork and pulls forward. The forward end of the spring hooks into a hole on the bottom flange of the frame......kinda hard to describe exactly where. If you have a factory style spring, just hook it onto the fork and stretch it a little pulling it towards the frame and you'll see the hole to hook it into.
