changing bolt pattern on wheels

Can I get a front rotor that will fit on my 78 1/2ton that will make it a 6 hole
, and is there a rear disc rotor the same pattern??, how about one that will make them 5 hole 4 3/4" pattern. The only reason I as is there is many more wheels avaliable for 6 hole , and 5 hole with 4 3/4 bolt patterns. Not many for the 5 on 5 I am assuming that is what come on my pickup

The front is easy. Just call any 67-72 vendor and order a pair of 6 lug front rotors.

The rear, you can use 4x4 axles which are 6 lug.

4x4 1/2 ton axles...if you swap rear ends, you want to stay 1/2 ton...3/4 and 1 tons are 8 lug

hmm, i was also considering this for the wheel options. im guessing that the front rotor swap will be the same for 73-87? and how about putting in axle shafts, or should i just go 12 bolt for the rear?

Go with the 88 up truck 10-bolt. They changed the axle spline count to make them stronger and the housing is a little wider to help even out the tire placement front & rear on the square body.

The larger 30-spline 10-bolt is just as strong as the truck 12-bolt and they still use it today so you can get low mileage posi carriers and gears out of wrecked new vehicles cheap.

The newer ones are even rear disc so you can mix & match parts to build a hybrid rear end that fits the older truck but has the disc brakes and newer posi.
