Thanks, the truck is caramel/almond now. I'll repaint it a dark green I think. Anyone got pics?

Re: Trucks with 17's
I used to run 17" Centerlines on my '73. Also, 17" TT II's on my old '83. I planned on lowering the '83, but I sold it first...but one of the "photo choppers" did if for me...

Re: Trucks with 17's
On the '73, if I remember correctly..I had 235/50r17's up front and 235/70's?? out back.
The '83 had 255/45r17's up front and 255/55's in the rear.... +/- My memory ain't what it used to be...

Re: Trucks with 17's
17's fit these truck's perfect in my opinion.they are the correct proportion in the wheel well.you don't look at them and think.."man,that's a big wheel"..or "man, that wheel look's small "they just fit the eye.now,i may be biased toward 17's since that's what i got.....but.that's why i got em.here's the spec 225/55/17 in front and the rear's are 275/55/17.oh.and i think those black nascars would be cool.don't see alot of those.way to think outside the box.i like it.

Re: Trucks with 17's
I'm with you can't decide what size to go with. I would like to find some old style 17's but the 20's might look better on my suburban.

Re: Trucks with 17's
Yo! Not the stance that you might want,...but I feel that the 17" Foose Spanks and 33" Firestones on FRANKENTRUCK are in perfect proportion to this truck:
Todd.

Here's a pic of mine before I began tearing it down. Cragar soft 8's.
And one during the tear down with the bed off. Later, Jon D. |
