Pics of a shortbed frame PRETTY PLEASE
Could someone post a few pictures of a bare shortbed frame? I KNOW somebody HAS to be doing a frame off on one.
I'm getting ready to cut the frame of my 69 longbed and just wondered how everything lines up exactly. I try to research as much as possible before hand so I know as I'm doing things im not fubar'n it as it's being done. Thanks a million. |

69C10@16, good luck with the cut down. If you search in the FAQ's, I believe there's several threads which address exactly where the cuts will need to be made to shorten your LWB frame.

Hope these help as well. Just keep in mind the first one is upside down ! :-) And the last one with the fuel cell has the stock "angled" crossbar removed and replaced by a straight piece. Good luck..

Too bad your not closer to East Texas. I saw an ad on Craigslist in East Texas for a short frame for I think like $400 just the other day.

I have a SWB rolling chassis out in the yard - if you need pix or measurements of anything - shoot me a PM and I can get them to you when I can.

Boys you've come through once again. NOT SURPRISED! You all are awesome. I found the FAQ before I posted this. The only thing I couldn't understand was the cut down puts the front bed mount under the cab.... and I needed to know if I needed to cut the thing off or what to do. Your pics answered my question indefinitely. They will make me feel better as i grind away. haha
