Wiper problem

My once fancy, two speed windshield wipers are now only moving in slow. Is this likely the switch or the motor?

Re: Wiper problem

You should be able to take a jumper wire from the connector that goes to the switch and ground it out. If the motor works in both speeds it's the switch. If it's the switch, I put some epoxy on the back of the new one to keep it from coming apart. The repop switches are pretty crappy.

Re: Wiper problem

The wiper motor works off of negative switching, if the wiper switch is loose or is poorly grounded = poor wiper motor movement,,,,make sure the switch is mounted tight and has a good ground to the dash....
