You don't have a headlight "bulb". You have a sealed beam headlight.

Is there a kit we can get to convert our trucks over to where we have a bulb and not a headlight?

yeah just make sure you get the glass ones that convert it into a h4 bulb and its kind of a plug and play set up. me personally get the ones that looks like the sealed beams, the projector and crystal clear ones look pretty cheesy to me.

Re: Xenon HID Headlight Conversion

i found glass conversion headlights for the round and square lights on ebay, they were really glass and not that plastic. my mustang friends got some hid kits where it shows the guy beating the **** out of a ballast with a hammer and the bulb stays on, they were pretty cheap too.

Re: Xenon HID Headlight Conversion

Use 08 jeep lights like in this thread:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...highlight=jeep

Then get the HID kit for a jeep. These are the best looking lights I've seen. All the conversion ones look bad IMO.

OK, I read that whole thread, and my head hurts now.

I need both lights and pigtails right?
RIGHT-55078148AB
LEFT-55078149AB
pigtail...1-68018959AA.
(MOPAR part numbers)

And people were saying that a relay is a smart idea.

1. If I'm doing a conversion to HID/Xenon anyway, then would THAT kit come with a relay?
2. Do I need to buy the pigtails if I'm purchasing an HID conversion?

Please explain as though you're talking to a retarded little girl. I'm learning as I go, and wiring is my biggest weakness.

Re: Xenon HID Headlight Conversion

All the info you need for the light swap should be in that thread. I havent personally done either one. When I do I will use those lights.

The relay setup is if your going to put normal bulbs in those lights and use the stock harness. The stock setup goes through the dimmer switch and you wind up with about 11 volts at the lights instead of the 13-14 that the alt is putting out. If your going to HID, you probably dont need that. You will only use the stock circuit to turn the HID's on as I understand it.

Hope that helps.
