Harness question??????
I have the glass fuse box, the wiring and harnesses are all good. Is it best to replace it all with a new harness, or just replace the fuse box itself with blade box? What is the best way of doing it, and what product?

Re: Harness question??????
If the wiring is all good, isn't the fuse box all good too ?? Mabey, all it needs is to removed all the fuses, clean the contacts, and install new fuses (?)
I guess you could cut away the harness from the OG box, and install a new one...but the harness wires usuallly terminate into the box...unless your using the type with spade terminals on it or something...

Re: Harness question??????
If you want to do it the cheap but quite a bit of work way find a 79-87 harness thats in good shape and change the switch plugs over most fit but its a pile of work Or go with ChiefRocka suggestion, but i would dab a bit of luberaplate (white grease) one the ends to ensure a good connection. If you are adding power robbing accessories a separate fuse box might be in order

Re: Harness question??????
I've seen fuseblocks for these trucks on Ebay-NOS for $15-25. Looks like a fairly easy changover, except for standing on your head. They're listed as being for 60-63(?), but have all the correct circuits for 64-66 as well, it appears, even A/C. I'd like someone to change theirs before I do mine, just to be sure it works OK! LOL
