Re: who sells frontend parts "made in usa"?

The only way to tell anymore would be to contact companies and manufaturers directly and ask. Even if it is labeled with a US company it is likely Chinese including MOOG and other "name" brands. Good luck with this!

I could be wrong about MOOG... but I know TRW and other majors are sourced overseas. I would bet willing to be MOOG is also, although they might maintain higher tolerances and quality standards. There's just no way to tell anymore. I work in the construction industry, federal specifications used to be "buy america" for all materials, which was feasible just a few years ago but now it's just a joke really. It's nearly impossible to purchase a product without components built overseas. Sad for sure.

MOOG is a brand of Federal-Mogul FYI.

Re: who sells frontend parts "made in usa"?

I used Parts Master from Star Auto. All components were marked "Made in USA" on the box and were identical to Moog, at about 1/3 the cost. The tie rod ends, pitman arm, and idler arm were also stamped with "Federal Mogul" They offered both Moog and their brand, and I pulled the parts out and compared them. All parts went together smoothly in my truck, including the brakes. I documented it in my build thread.

If in doubt and your budget is not a concern, buy Moog, you can't go wrong. They are USA made and the most expensive ones.
