Re: brake problem
Confused by "Cleaned out all the lines and still don't work."
First do you get any fluid to the rear drums when you depress the pedal and loosen the bleeder valve? Describe how they don't work also. Does it mean that they don't move at all or don't have a lot of grabbing power to them. It could be that you have a collapsed rear brake hose. The one on top of the axle or they're not adjusted or installed correctly. Could also be the proportioning valve not working properly. |

Re: brake problem
your rear flexible hose has probably collapsed. i just went through the same thing. just a trickle of fluid would come through the rear bleeders.
Is you brake light on in your dash? |

Re: brake problem
If you're just getting a trickle then I'd go ahead and replace that rear brake hose regardless of whether it's good or bad. It's located on top of the rear axle.
My 69 did the same thing you can't tell by looking at it. I had power brakes so I could force enough fluid into the rear brakes but the hose was so collapsed that fluid would not return and would lock up the rear brakes. |
