My new ride
Just got this 71 SWB from a guy in Little Rock AK Has almost no rust and what there is is minimal. Hasnt been restored so whoever owned this took good care of it has a couple of minor dings but overall it looks good. has a 350 with a 3.73 posi, runs real nice. But now that we got our first snow, and they use plenty of salt here in the D.C. area so Im putting her in storage for the winter.

Re: My new ride
I don't know how we let that one get away from Arkansas but congrats on getting it. Maybe a good cleaning and an undercoat is in order so you can enjoy it more of the year.

Re: My new ride
Thanks to you all for the nice comments. Boog if you only knew how much salt they put down here inside the beltway! Its because most of the people around here get freaked out by an inch of snowI wouldnt have had to look in AK if I could have found a truck around here that had this little rust. Thanks again for the nice comments Ill try to post some more pics in the next couple of days

Re: My new ride
Most importantly, very nice truck.
On a minor note I have an overwhelming urge to correct the abbreviation for Arkansas. AK is for Alaska, AR is for Arkansas. Whew, now I can go back to my other OCD activities. Definitely keep that one away from "the enemy". |

Re: My new ride
thanks for the great comments and for the correction in the state abbreviation.Any way a couple of you asked for some more pics so here they are. The yellowish haze in the pics is my cameras problem not the trucks!

Re: My new ride
Glad somebody beat me to the AK, Ar thing. Now I cant be accused of being the anal one, LOL. I was thinking it though. Nice truck, thanks for stealing it out from under our noses man. Wish mine looked that good underneath. Wish I had a cab support left underneath to be exact. How'd you hear about that one. I used to live in Falls Church 40 years ago when my dad was working at the Pentagon. Some court, cant remember the name though.

Re: My new ride
Thanks for asking In the spring I plan on first cleaning up the engine and repainting it and also the engine compartment. I then want to lower it a couple of inches and also clean up and repaint the frame. Im going to do it in stages so I can still drive it for the most part. As of right now I dont have a garage that I can work on it in only store it Hopefully sometime next year Ill have enough money to build a garage.
