I've never seen a 67-72 with one. Just 12 bolts and 3/4 & 1 ton full floaters.
I think only 73+ had 10 bolts

maybe it started in 82?
I suspect the OP is counting rear end cover bolts instead of going by the axle's actual name. Is this a C/20 with 8 lug wheels? |

My 67 GMC has a 10 bolt in it, mind you it is a dana 44.

The thing is, not all 10 bolts are the same. 12 bolts were in half tons and pretty much the same. Variations in the axle lengths and bolt patterns across the years.
