Buddy Bucket project!
OK, the heartbreaking decision to sell my Buddy Buckets has come to pass.
I have been cut back to a 20 hour work week and keeping my shop and a roof over my head takes precedence. The seats are original 1968 Chevy Buddy Buckets. Unfortunately the adjustment handle is broken off; I had planned on making a new one with more style. On the buddies, plans were to have a tucked design sewn into the leather for the back inserts and door panels and to add seat heaters when installing. Project includes the seats, new bunns, door panels, visors and leather. Price for the project is $875 plus shipping (rather not). Reply in thread only, please. That being said... The frame has zero damage. The console has some very light rust towards the back of the box. NO dents and the hinge works smoothly. NO rust through. Included are the three molded edge metal protectors for the box. Top and back of the buddy seat are in very nice condition. The bunns are a complete set I purchased from Pickmup Frank a couple years ago. Complete, correct, stored properly and unopened. I have collected enough Ivory leather to not only cover the Buddy Buckets but there should be ample leather to do the door panels as well. This material came from an eight foot used sofa so there is a need to have it cleaned before sending it off to the upholstery shop. There are no tears, burns or stains. This piece came from the back of the sofa and it alone should be ample for the seat tops and back inserts. Included in the package are a pair of Ivory visors and core sheet metal '68 door panels with top chrome retainer strips. As said above, I would really like to sell this project locally. Not just for avoiding the hassle of shipping but I would love to see them when completed. Payment preferred is Bank draft--I can take paypal but you are responsible for extra fees. Again, please reply in thread only. Thanks, Ellen |

Re: Buddy Bucket project!
Thanks Michael.
Actually, they were nicer before I sat my f@t arse on them for a few years! I choose to go with the leather because the vinyl was so cold, hard and slippery. Hate to give em' up but... |

Re: Buddy Bucket project!
Ellen, I received seats same day you estimated. Fedex is fast! The seats are probably the best core set I've ever had. I've never used new foam so I'm anxious to see how great they will turn out. I am storing everything at my brother's until I start to build my last truck. Thanks for all the weighing, figuring, measuring, price checking, packing, un-packing & re-packing you did. I know shipping is a pain and never much of a benefit to the seller except time lost. Happy Holidays & Thanks again. Mike.

Re: Buddy Bucket project!
You will not regret going with those new seat foams. Sure prevents getting that numbness in your cheeks. Compared to stock bench seat..A world of difference.
