1973-80 fenders on a newer cab?

hey, i was wondering if you could put the 73-80 fenders and hood onto 81-87 cab and if so how much work is involved.

it can be done but you need to change the entire nose, including the radiator support ,remove the wiper cowl and change the wiper arm assembly

This is the easy swap. It is putting a 81-87 front end on a 73-80 that requires the extra work

its not a bad job, i just did it to my 86', you just need to remove the hood hinges off the cab, and be sure to change the wiper posts, other than that its a matter of putting the bolts to it

right!
the 73-80 frames are closed on the end, as opposed to the 81-87 ones which are cut off, i believe you need to make brackets for the middle bottom bumper bolts if i remember right

yup that petty easy though cut them off a 73-80 or fab something up
