Seat option
I am wondering how difficult is is to place a late model GM seat with integrated belts in my 63. Do I have to seriously modify the brackets, build my own or what. I have seen several on here, but not alot of detail other than after the fact photos. I currently have no belts at all, and it's not safe cruising with the kids you know? Any help or tip to the right thread would be appreciated. Currently I have the original seat in fair condition, so the floor is not hacked or drilled to death. Thanks!

Re: Seat option
I think you can use any of them, just have to make up some new frame rails and or drill for the existing ones. Ive seen a few guys swap in the Sierra seats...I personally just use OG floor bolt seat belts, but if I had kids Id probably upgrade to newer seats with the shoulder straps too.

Re: Seat option
Myself and my dad has 2000 Chevy truck 40-20-40 seats, mine are power, his isnt, they really are more comfy than original. One thing, if you are real tall, then it will be cramp.

Re: Seat option
This was the reason I looked for and installed a factory bench seat in my '63. The previous owner had installed at set of 2000 (or thereabouts) GM captain bucket seats, and I had to hunch down to look straight ahead since the seats were higher - I'm only 5'-9". I imagine it would be even worse for someone taller.

Re: Seat option
Looks like I will just go to a smaller steering wheel, and recover my original. I guess a call to LMC for lap belts is in order. Thanks to alll
