Need help!

I ordered a wheel in and I like it but is it worth the pain and cash of getting these wheels to tuck more? Besides getting new arms to narrow the track width what's other ways. I'll post pics in a few mins.





Thats a 305/35/24, I'll do a 275/25/24, this was just for mockup.

How much is it going to take to tuck? I think you are the only one that can honestly answer the question. How bad do you want these wheels?

Who makes new arms to narrow the track width?

What about buying wheels with the correct backspace?
Is that an option?

I know this, 1in, now we were going to get new arms, but what do they run, and what other options are there? I want a 24 badly, and unless I get a wheel made for my specifications and pay more money than I have then this bs is my only option.

No, buying a diiferent bs is no option, these are the only wheels and size they offer and this is the one bs they offer.

Thanks, after this weekend I'll know exactly how much narrower than stock I need. The guy that bagged this thing will know how much, I'm guessing just and inch.

I think the smaller tire will help. it looks like it nearly tucks enough now. can u run trailer fenders and open up the inside fender some? judt curious, can u post a pic of the wheel?

no he cant. thats with the inside already cut out. a smaller tire will help though

Why don't you take the money you would spend on custom arms and put it towards some wheels that fit. Modifying your truck to accommodate the wrong wheels is just ridiculous.

My stock inner fenders are out but my fenders aren't cut or rolled at all. I can still roll them and gain a little.


Also, I happen to like the idea of a wheel that doesn't run a grand if I bend one. I'd rather deal with a tire dealer that gives me deals. Nothing wrong with a little custom work to get the wheel you like rather than and alternative.

Anyone know a wheel price off the top of their head that 24x10 with 6.91 bs? I haven't found anything.

I bet this wheel mounted on the rear is sucked way in,... due to the difference in track width. (front to rear)
How about a 22x8.5 up front and a 24x10 rear?

I never tried this wheel on the back yet. I will this weekend but I've been sick. This wheel doesn't offer anything else, just this one size and backspace. The Boss 313 is a multispoke wheel and they offer a 22/24 but the 24x10 is the same as this wheel and the 22x9.5 is 5.71 bs.

I know IFCUSTOMS has modified stock control arms to accomidate fitting wheels and tires on these trucks! Check them out and maybe the guy who bagged the truck could narrow your stock arms cheaper than buying new ones? I saw that when you narrow the control arms an inch you also have to step the lower to accomidate the smaller arc. You can also modify the front crossmember. But I say save some dough and headache and buy a PORTERBUILT STREETRODS DROPMEMBER and your problems are solved and it just bolts in!

So this is about a low buck way to tuck 24's. Nothing wrong with that if you have thought it through. You can section your stock arms as shown, but that just opens up another can of worms.

It seems like a lot of effort to put 24's under your truck, when you can't afford it.

Can't afford a DM, so I'm more limited to take type of pricy stuff. I can't find wheels anywhere for my 5x5.

Can't even figure out how to measure before you order the wheels, but the extensive frame and suspension modifications are no problem.

Man your remedial! I pick the wheel I liked, picked two, ordered one in and it's close. It's ONLY offered in one size and one bs, that's ONE choice. So if you can't seem to understand this read again or don't repley. I don't need a smartass.



The rest of you thanks for the help, and if the best way is a DM and redo my Z, then I'll do 20's and be done. I have no wheels and need them very fast. This was my wheel so now maybe more 20's would be best.

You know your needs and budget more than we do. I just hate to see someone become enamored with the vision of an end result that isn't financially feasible. All too often this leads to a project that becomes a costly lesson in frustration.

If your determined to ride this out, and get the 24's to fit, I encourage you to stick with it.
