anybody cut their long bed down to sb?
how did you get the line on the bedsides squared over the curved body? square, laser, plumb?

yeah ive searched, but all i can find is where they cut it, not how they squared it up on the bedside.

I would make sure that the bed is level on or off the truck. that way you could plumb a line at the front of the bed& remove 12"off the front & 8" off the rear of the bed. I cut the frame of my truck down & purchased a short bed (with a ton of damage) sum what sure the numbers on the bed cut sizes. Idid cut & replace the drivers side front of my bed 32" with a vertical cut& seam just in front of the wheel well (Its not as bad you might think) & it turned out great! GO FOR IT! hope this helps. ...Pat
