ignition lock
ok so i got the lock out changed the switch, but now i cant get the lock part back in, is there something simple im missing?

Did you take out the lock cylinder or did you take out the entire switch that has the wires?

i changed the switch put everything back together but now i dont know how to get the lock cylinder back in

Make sure that the switch is turned to the left as far as it will go before you insert the ignition cylinder. To do this stick a wide blade screwdriver into the switch and insert the tip into the slot that the end of the lock cylinder fits into. Gently rotate the switch to the left (do not force it). If it won't move try turning it to the right to see if it will move in that direction. If it moves to the right OK turn it back to the left. Remove the screwdriver and insert the lock cylinder. (make sure the key is in the lock cylinder all the way) Push the lock cylinder into the switch, making sure that the small hole in the face of the cylinder is at the 12 o'clock position. When you feel resistance push it in a little farther and turn to the right until it locks in. Do not force it! LockDoc
