PicknPull Tax WTF!!!!! CA

I'm really getting tired of California taxes. I went to PickNPull today bought a couple of nic nacks. Sales tax here in Claifornia is tough enough, but then you add an Environmental Fee??????????? The Environmental Fee is even higher than the sales tax.

Add that up to nearly 20% in taxes on your PickNPull purchase!!

Only day I'll go again is half price day.

Re: PicknPull Tax WTF!!!!! CA

Pick and pull is a waste of time and money. Craigslist and local papers are the way to go. I can buy a whole truck for less than a handful of parts cost me at pick and pull.

Yeah I only go to the Pick Your Part on their 50% off sale weekends. Luckily they have at least one a month. Better selection on the regular weekends though.

Taxes, at a junkyard? The few I go to will ask "ya need a receipt" and I hand them cash.

Isn't an environmental fee, on a recycled part some kind of oxymoron?

Save the planet by recycling, but it's gonna cost ya

I'm always up for good deal, but bagging the product is not me.

Besides that I couldn't find a tool bucket to fit a bumper.

then stop complaining about the cost.

wire harnesses fit nicely down the pants legs, you can spread a $120[new] set of bearings out to your 4 pockets, shifters only work well if you have a tall boot to keep it vertical.

pick n pull advertises that they will pay up to $600 for a cars, it has to be imaculate and worth $2k on the street, i have had to PAY THEM to take my last 2 trucks, f that they go to the scrapper now. they make money hand over fist, why do you think they have 3x in the last 5 years.

Ive never stolen a thing from anyone, I cant stand a thief. But thats my opinion, everyones is different. I always paid for my parts that I got out of a junk yard, even some that were a little high. But I also live in Alabama so the prices aint really that high around here either.

I'm not a big fan of stealing, unless it's from a junkyard. All the ones by me charge $5-$10 just to get in.
the last time I went to a pic a part they wanted to charge me $20 for a coolant resevoir tank. After paying $10 to get in it would,ve cost me $30 for the tank.I got a brand new frome LMC for $26.95 including shipping

The junkyards might charge you to enter the yard... but taxes & "environmental fees" are mandated by (and turned over to) the state.

And that's your justification for stealing? If you don't mean it, don't say it. Stealing is stealing.
