How low can I go?

I want to go as low as possible with a c-notch. Searched lots of c notch forums but still hasn't answered my question. Looks like a custom notch is going to be a better option for more clearance. Considering c notch since I really don't want to cut the box floor. I have no problems moving box floor up a inch or so but I dont like the hole. I wan't to run front drop member w/ tubular control arms, 3" drop spindles and c-notch in back (bagged front and rear) with a 20 and 22 wheel combo. Is this going to look funny since the front will lay all the way down? That's why I'm wonding how low I can get the rear, what kind of stance am I looking at with this set up? Picture of similar set up would be great.

This is as low as you can get without cutting your bed. This is "Lucy" built by my buddy n2billet. It has a nice owner built c-notch and the inner bedsides are modified, but the bed floor is stock.

The front is standard issue spindles and bags with the stock fender liners in place. Those are 20's all around, for reference.

Cool thanks for the pics and info man. Lucy has a great stance and might be what i'm looking for but I'm really loving the slammed look minus the hole or raised floor. Anybody have some pics of bed fabs done due to step notch. Maybe I can find some ideas and change my mind and go with the step notch. N2TRUX thanks again for the pics and quick reply. By the way, you know what wheels are on Hazel by chance?

i dont have any pics, but if it was me and i was going with a dropmember in front, i would go just as low in the rear and just raise the bed floor up. with 20's up front and being that low, it would look funny imo with a 22 out back and not being as low.

ozman- If you're already willing to raise the bed floor, why not do a step and raise it as much as you need to? You won't have to much of a bed though. But if you want it slammed anyways, I don't think you will be using it for moving many couches. Just my thoughts.

I kind of figured that it wouldn't look right. Definitely don't want to raise the floor that much for a notch, thats just not my kind of look. I subscribed to the Hazel build and maybe get some ideas there. If anything I will just have to cut the floor. Maybe someone will post some pics of their bed floors with step notches...hint hint

C-notch , no hole in the bed floor, floor NOT raised. Inner fenders in place , spindles ,bags, 20's all around.



Wish I would have done a PB dropmember front and rear, wish I would have raised the bed floor.

your not lying, 69chevyshort I'm lovin the stance. I might just go that route and just put the extra cash into the body then be the same way and wish I'd of done the porterbuilt package. Keep them coming, my brain is just on overload on decisions. I've been looking on here for hours that past couple of weeks and just itching to get mine even started. Just doing my homework and hopefully just build it once.
