18.23 MPG avg. / year
So the 4.3 is not the most sought after Chevy engine. But it gets decent gas mileage. I added up all the gas slips from the last year.(I drive stop and go rush hour traffic)
Power is o.k., drives real nice, love the way it looks. Glad I bought it. Yet to get 20 MPG but been close, real close! Next oil change I'll go synthetic and I still want to drop it someday. (that may get me 20?) Sure the metal is so thin so you have to be careful to turn your head when you sneeze This spring will be 2 years, I can see keeping this one around for awhile. (at least till I pay it off)

Re: 18.23 MPG avg. / year
That's nice. My average is probably only 14, but I almost never get to hit the highway.
