Throttle linkage

I'm wondering what you guys are using for throttle linkage. mine doesn't work very well. i have a 350 with an old q-jet. any help is appreciated.

I still use the through-firewall pedal and arm assembly, but I made an adjustable link from the arm to the carb from leftover race car throttle linkage shafts and parts I had laying around. I'll try and post some photos this weekend.

i still have the arm on the firewall, so i am just wondering what options there are after that. if you have pictures, that would be great. thank you.

I found a cool trick on a F**d forum of all places: cut a piece of all-thread from the hardware or home store that will fit your carb fitting, then cut a piece of brake or trans line to slip over it; you'll want to bend them already stuck together if bends are necessary - I found this out the hard way.
Works great for just a few bucks.

i think i also just found out what part of my problem is also. i only have enough throw in the arm on the firewall to get half-throttle when the pedal is to the floor. if i move my carb end of my linkage to the inner position on the carburetor, i should get more movement out of the carburetor. hopefully i can use your picture to help me figure something out.

Yep, that's why I made mine adjustable. There are three holes in the outer rod that allows the inner rod to slide further inward (secured with a hitch pin). And, the ends are threaded for finer adjustments.
