6.0L and T56

I've found a 6.0L and T56 trans locally for $3500 with apparently 17,000km or so. I don't know a ton of details about it yet besides that it comes with the computer and an aftermarket harness. Also it has ls6 heads and a larger than stock throttle body. No idea on what it came out of originally. Supposedly it makes 505 hp.

I would put it in my 72 if i got it.

My question is, is 3500 a fair price for this? Also, has anyone put a T56 in a truck? I've searched and there's a bit of info. Thanks.

Re: 6.0L and T56

Doesn't seem like too bad of a price for up here in Canada. Alot of t56's have been put in trucks before.
If you decide to pass, could you PM me the details/contact info? It might work for me. Wouldn't mind checking it out at least.

Re: 6.0L and T56

I would want to know what it came out of...sounds like an ASA (circle track) motor since it has the LS6 intake, aftermarket harness and larger TB.
Some locals have used them before, it should have a pretty agressive cam in it.

I do not think $3500 is a great price knowing it has been beat on but it might be up there where you live.

Re: 6.0L and T56

I'd ask for proof of 505hp. LS6 heads and a larger TB aren't going to do it, without other stuff as well.
