generator to alternator conversion?

how would i go about converting my generator to an alternator on my 62 283? I've found brackets online but i really haven't found anything for a wiring diagram.

1965 C-10 Ext cab build. 350??(Does it count at 2 truck if I had to cut one up?)

i dont know what alternator yet, probably just find an 80's model chevy parts truck around town to take one off of.
