Re: alt brackets

Are you still using the ram exhaust manifolds?

Re: alt brackets

The left manifold had a casting sticking out the front that the bottom bracket and the bolt for the alternator threaded into. Top adjustment slide bracket bolts to the waterpump stud in the same place that the top bracket. I'm sure that they make brackets that will bolt on with the header bolts for the bottom.

Re: alt brackets

original used the ramhorn exhaust manifold bracket... you will have to find one that uses the waterpump and block...

Re: alt brackets

The stock manifold had a block in front special for the one bolt. With headers you are going to have to use a different type of mount.

Re: alt brackets

you may have to get a set of brackets that fit on the passenger side ala an automobile rather than truck. That may require you to get different puleys and so on...

Do your home work, buy a parts manual either hard copy or disc and look at all the options in terms of chevell, nova, impalla ect. and dont discount the corvette. The corvette vendors know thier business and the quality is usually pretty good.

Good luck and share what you learned as I think a few people will run into this problem as time marches on.
