First post about my First truck.
hello everyone, this is the first pic of the 70 long bed i got last week. You guys have some sweet rides and I am looking forward to posting lots of questions. The bed is in the garage behind the truck there, it needs a new left panel and some tlc. Any advice about where to start would be much appreciated.

Re: First post about my First truck.
Welcome aboard from the bigsky of Montana! Great looking plateform. What are your plans for the truck? Take your thoughts and aspirations and write them down and dont forget them. Its your truck so build it how you imagine it to be. There is a wealth of knowledge among the countless members of this fine forum, but remember most of your questions have probably already been asked and answered hundreds of times so get a feel for the search function. I would say, depending on your plans and vision, since the bed is off now would be a good time to clean up the frame and paint it and if you are wanting to eliminate the gas tank behind the seat. No better time then now since you have full access to everything.

Re: First post about my First truck.
I dont know what the rims are called. I call em cool. Yeah i think I will start with cleaning the back half of the frame and painting it; bed panel next, and gas tank after that. I gotta keep it drivable cause the wife and I are sharing hers.

Is it me or does that look like three springs in the bottom pic. By the way cool truck. Might want to get some rear tires on it with the proper air pressure.

to the board from just north of the line in MO.
Looks like you might have located the truck in MO by the front license plate. Don't hesitate to ask any questions at any time, that's what this place was designed for. You will soon learn this is like a family, so pull a seat up to the table.

Re: First post about my First truck.
from the Northeast Corner of Tn. Looks like you have good starter truck there. Like mentioned ^ this is a fortune of info on this forum. Alot of guys been there done that, have the t-shirt got that t-shirt dirty helping out others on there projects.
I do agree with using the search, If you don't find what you need, ask away. even if it's beens asked numerous times were always happy to help.

Re: First post about my First truck.
Awesome guys, thanks a lot. I am planning to keep it mainly the way it was with a few upgrades. nothing too fancy. yeah the rear tires are in bad shape. i havent found out about the engine and trans yet. i know they replaced a manual with an automatic cause there is a clutch pedal stuffed under the carpet. hehe. needs a left bed panel and left door skin(or whole door). Right now i just changed the oil and i want to get it cleaned up and see if and where it leaks.

Re: First post about my First truck.
WELCOME!!!
You can pull that clutch pedal real easily. There`s a c-clip on the inner end of where the pedals pivot, then push it out.No effect on the brake pedal.
