A/C Dash Vent Openings
I am installing an aftermarket A/C system in my Blazer. My Blazer has a non-A/C dash and I want to install stock ball vents and center vent. I am looking to see if anyone can provide me with paper templates (or steel cut outs from an A/C dash) of the ball vent openings so I can locate them properly on my dash before I start cutting. If you have an A/C dash that you would cut up, I would be willing to pay. Thanks.

Re: A/C Dash Vent Openings
If you go to Classic Auto Air web site, and download their install instructions, there are templates for the factory dash openings.

The Classic Auto Air instructions only provide a template for the factory center vent. The dimensions they provide for the side vents are to locate their own smaller vents, not the larger factory ball vents which are positioned on a curved surface of the dash. I appreciate the response though. |

Re: A/C Dash Vent Openings
There was a guy I bought a Blazer door off of that mentioned having templates to cut a non AC dash to fit factory vents. Let me try to contact him and I will give him your email if you want.

Re: A/C Dash Vent Openings
You are correct! IF I still have the directions for my truck at my shop, I will look at them. I am 99% sure that there were measurements for the OE side vents in them. If I find them, I will let you know. I will need a fax # to send them to you, I have NFI how to copy them on here and send them to you. I just know that they are there???
I just emailed CAA, and asked them to call me in the AM. I will see if they will email them to me, and if I get them, I will forward to you! Chip Last edited by cparman; 01-26-2010 at 07:43 PM. Reason: update |

I have a Un-Cut AC dash if anyone is interested.....I think they can be switched out...they are only spot-welded in.
