CPP Totally Tubular Rear suspension! A CPP crowd favorite!

Guys take a look at this kit! Although it has been out a few years and we have sold quite a few i wanted to put it up and talk about the features and benefits and also answer any questions. Keep in mind this is an entire kit but it can be ordered in individual parts. This kit fits the 63-72 Chevy Trucks and has numerous benefits and a clean custom look. Benefits such as added exhaust clearence, increased ground clearence, corrected pinion angle, increased driveline clearence, adds torsional rigidity and additional strength. CPP'S tubular trailing arms are manufactured with a laser cut and formed spring platform fabricated to a CNC bent heavy wall 2" DOM tube body. The bushings are made of a "NEW" patented D-spec heat resistant, self-lubricating material that offers long life and remarkably quite, comfortable ride. This complete kit was designed with lowered trucks in mind, correcting the pinion angle that is affected with lowered coil and airsprings. The crossmember will bolt into the original location and work with factory trailing arms. This will correct pinion angle associated with a lowered truck and offers 3" by 5" exhaust openings. WE ALSO MAKE THIS KIT NOW FOR THE 73-87 CHEVY TRUCKS THAT CONVERTS LEAFSPRINGS TO COILSPRINGS!! If you guys need a kit or parts of this kit i will get you guys a great deal. Thanks :Sidenote. that silver bar across the c-notch is for display only it is not a part we sell or that you need.

Re: CPP Totally Tubular Rear suspension! A CPP crowd favorite!

Thanks for explaining the purpose of the cross bar.
I thought it was for mounting the shocks. To bad; the bar looked cool.
Is there any chance of CPP seeing if the "73-87 conversion kit" could be used in converting 4WD 69-72 chevy blazers to 2WD?
It seems the main questions are, would the CPP c-notch/spring mount work on the Blazer 4WD frame and would the cross member fit inside
the frame rails.
Thanks for your efforts to improve customer service.

Currently we have these for short bed 73-87's. We have not installed one on a long bed yet so we do not know what all the differences are between the two chassis.

On the air bag trucks we installed it was very easy. The bottom of the air bag bolted upto the trailing arm without any mods. We had to drill a hole for the air fitting to fit thru the frame at the upper air bag mount. Everything else was the same as a coil spring install.

Re: CPP Totally Tubular Rear suspension! A CPP crowd favorite!

Some more FAQ's:

The crossmember has 3-3/8" by 5" oval holes so you can easily tuck 3" exhaust up above the bottom of the frail rail.

There is an optional bracket that allows you to use the 2 piece drive shaft. The bracket and carrier bearing are shown in the photot Jeff posted.

There are provisions for your parking brake cables in both the crossmember and the tubular trailing arms.

If you tucked up the exhaust by adding the CPP trans crossmember, and used the CPP tubular lower control arms in the front the lowest point on the truck will become the U-bolts that mount the front control arm cross shafts.

This set up on air bags is killer when it sits that low.

Really good looking product. What's the damage on price for the 73-87 version? Do you sell one with bags instead of springs? Oh and one more question how does it compare to the 4-Link AirBAR from RideTech?

CPPJEFF,

Let me know when you need a real world home hotrodder garage install article on the 73-87 kit.

Till then I'll keep saving. Unless you guys take trades....

I would like to see a picture of the 73-87 kit outside the truck like the 67-72 is above.

Re: CPP Totally Tubular Rear suspension! A CPP crowd favorite!

What kind of "great deal" can you do? I've been thinking about doing one of these setups in a 72 LWB and have a few questions.

Can you get the 4" heavy duty springs with it?

Do you have sway bar setup for it?

Do you sell any braided stainless e-brake cables for it?

What type finish is it, raw, paint, powder? If paint or power, what color (s)?

Looking to do this and possibly the upper and lower control arms so PLEASE make me a smokin deal so I can get it all at one time.

Shoot me a PM or I can call you if we need to talk about it.

Thanks

Yes I asked in another thread if they would sell the kit cheaper without the crossmember. He said he could sell any part of the kit seperate.
