picturs of my painted doors.

heres some pictures like I promised. I bought a new gon to do the paint, and it works verry well. The paint shines real good. I love that colour, its a 2000 ford focus cald zink yellow. I must admitt I am not a painter.....yet. I got a few runs on both doors plus, because of bad lighting, one spot could of used another coat. So I will have to resand it and repaint it. My mistake was that I was spray gun happy. I finished 1 door in 20 minutes. I talked to a real painter and he told me to let it dry for 15-20 minutes between coats, it should of taking me 1 hour per door, not 20 minutes. I dont mind redoing it, I enjoyed panting plus gives me practice so here are some pics. tell me what you think of the colour.
P.S I did get a qualaty mask........What a diffrence. I can live to drive my newly painted truck lol.

I did it with two people very carefully!! Not much advice I know, but man I wanted to drive it!!
I would leave the striker off of the cab though, until I knew I had the hinges squared away!!

Your doors look great!! Mine had a few runs in them too, but a little wet sanding, some paint, and alot more clear and it will be just fine!!

the doors look great from here! good job. are you going to two a two tone (top of the doors=white)? we're in the same boat-I'm not good at painting but love to do it (same with welding)-but its all a learning experience :-)

Yellow is also hard to paint as I'm told, my cousin did our 72 Nova drag car 69 Camaro Daytona Yellow and was real careful with it ut did have a couple runs we had to deal with. but looks good man, I hope my painting comes outthtgood when I'm ready

I've been wondering about two tone options from the factory-I've seen top white and bottom 8-10" strip white or top white and large band through middle of truck white (like an oreo cookie :-) are they both stock paint scheme's? which are you choosing? I was thinking of changing my ochre to something more yellowish like your choice, but not as flashy as chrome yellow-to many choices to make!
