Bed Hardware

When I purchased my '79 roller, the bed was not bolted to the frame. What size hardware is needed to bolt in the frame? It appears to use carriage bolts, correct? Is there any other hardware involved?

Thanks,
Jon D.

Re: Bed Hardware

if I remeber right there isn't, and I think they need to be 6" or 5.5" something like that and you might want to have someone help you when you bolt it down have someone stand in the bed with there foot on the bolt cause if the hole is alittle rounded they just spin. you can get them at lowes or about any hardware store

Re: Bed Hardware

The front bolts are longer than the rear, but yea it's just carriage bolts. I agree with the lmc kit, all hardware needed in one kit.

This is why there are 2 long ones indeed. Here is the link to the LMC set. Bottom left of page 26. The whole kit is about $30. Not bad, you could save on that if you go to your local hardware store, but there is no guess work in the LMC set.
