S10 Chassis Swap Kits
I won't go in to specifics, because I'm not going to bash anyone. But it is my humble .02 worth the the people at E-Z Chassis swap are the people to deal with if you are going to get a kit.
I posed the same question to two companies, Ed @ E-Z emailed me a response, the other guy told me to fly a kite.

Re: S10 Chassis Swap Kits
Interesting. You mind sharing what the question was?

Re: S10 Chassis Swap Kits
I asked for the dimension from the center of the front axle to the center of the front cab mount.
I am not doing an S10 conversion but the information is relevant to me mounting my cab on my K5 chassis.

Re: S10 Chassis Swap Kits
I asked AD how high there mounts were above the frame, and I got a email response of that's a secret unless you buy it. I wasn't suprised with that response. I can say this though they have always answered my questions very quickly even though I have never purchased any thing from them.

Re: S10 Chassis Swap Kits
I have an AD kit and they have been very helpfull everytime I talked to them. But, I did buy their kit. I am not surprised they wouldnt answer your question though. They spent a lot of time engineering these kits. The parts arent that hard to make but the position is the main part of any of these kits. They are trying to run a business and make a profit so I cant blame them for not sharing. If they simply told everybody everything about their kits then they would never sell any. They are a lot less expensive than the EZ kits, and I prefer their design better. Less steel and lighter when installed. just my 2 cents

Re: S10 Chassis Swap Kits
The dimension I asked for could have been found on any frame swap, I just thought I would ask somebody with precise measurements. That being said, the guys from EZ answered, the guy from AD told me no. That speaks volumes to me of the type of person at each location. I was upfront in telling them I'm NOT doing an S10 swap, and I really don't want to replicate their kit. The "kit" information, like how to build it, can be found on any number of forums on the net. The "kit" saves people time and money. The "specs" of said kit become common knowledge the instant they sell one to the public. They are selling time and effort savers, plain and simple.
I just wanted to give props to Ed because he seems to understand where he fits and what he sells, and he gave a fellow hot rodder some help. That's all.

Re: S10 Chassis Swap Kits
britnjc, I couldnt agree with you more. I knew they wouldn't answer my question but it was worth asking. They have good customer service so I would buy from them. To me customer service is worth just as much as the product. Sounds to me the EZ guys are equal. Good luck in your build winchster!
