SCORE! (Trip returns to the 67-72 world)
Hi all, just parked the new acquisition, 1972 GMC
Ding in the driver front fender, ding in the passenger rear bed corner (idiot neighbor in an SUV) and typical rust at the bottom corners of the doors and sills, but other than that, pretty straight. lots of things I dont like, but hey, it rolls and runs, so I'm thrilled as can be! My first truck was a 68 LWB Chevy in that wonderful faded maroon (had a neat gold sheen to it). Ever since I sold it I've regretted it and wanted to get another... close ISN'T just for hand grenades and Tiddly Winks. Plan to do all the work to it I never got to do on the 68, and I plan to swap out the hood/grille when possible, I just can't get used to the 72 front end. Of course, that's in my free time, since I work full time and teach college full time and am working on another degree (about 100 hours a week). I'm giving over Sundays to the truck (no project name yet, though MD 20/20 for Manic Depressive and hindsight being 20/20, or maybe MD 20/10 so people have to ask...) Anyhow, been around for months, been posting for a few days, thought I'd introduce myself now that it's official! Trip Bauer |

Thanks!
I was just poking around and found some rust through in other spots, my wife gave me the evil eye, but I tried to explain how common it was and how easy to fix (I was a welder in the USN Well, at least with no PB/PS and plans to go back to manual, I will never have to worry about her borrowing it Trip |
