WTB TH400 Kickdown Cable
Just got a new '70 GMC truck for my nephew and it is missing the kickdown cable for the TH400.
Anyone have a spare? Thanx, Bud |

Re: WTB TH400 Kickdown Cable
If it is a TH400, It uses a switch that is activated by the gas pedal. Here is a link to a B&M switch.

Re: WTB TH400 Kickdown Cable
I don't know what year they switched over - but there was a carb kickdown and the pedal kickdown - so there are two versions.
I have one (carb kickdown) in my 70 LWB, but is in storage until April so that won't help you with me getting a picture of it... Last edited by lks dcvn; 02-12-2010 at 12:59 AM. |

Re: WTB TH400 Kickdown Cable
I have a pic of a 68, 327 on the message board and that shows a pic of the th400 kickdown for a reference for you. Look under "engine ID please"
I think 71 72 had the pedal activated. Good luck with your search, Eric

Re: WTB TH400 Kickdown Cable
Hmmm, it has those already on the truck. I was under the impression that it is supposed to have a cable.
I guess I am wrong. I don't know much about GM trannies since all I have ever had are slush-boxes. I'll have to goof with this some more. Thanx! Bud |
